Mission

The mission of St. Peter’s is a simple call to put your faith into action. It says:

Called together in Christ,
transformed by God’s grace,
sent out to serve.

At St. Peter’s, we worship God with energy and joy, seek a deeper faith in Jesus Christ, minister to those in need, and reach out to welcome others into our community of faith. We enjoy music and laughter, and place a high value on Christian formation. Our youth are actively involved in all dimensions of our life together. We are a community of all ages, committed to using our gifts in the service of others and to the glory of God.

Although Sundays are busy days at St. Peter’s — with more than one worship service, Godly Play for our youngest members (age 3-first grade), Sunday School for the children and youth (pre-K-high school), nursery for infants (0-3), and Adult Forum (what we call Adult Sunday School) — we believe that encouraging our congregation to give of their time and talents is also a way to celebrate our faith and share it with the wider world. Each and every member of our congregation family has gifts to share in service to God and with our community.  During the  week, St. Peter’s brings our members together to address stewardship, Christian formation, mission, worship, hospitality, the church building and grounds, and other facets of parish life.  Opportunities to participate abound for anyone interested in this call to action.
