FROM THE RECTOR

A Life Shaped by Grace

Saint Peter's has always been a community of imperfect people — that's been true since 1961 when our founders named us after a disciple who denied Jesus three times. We still think that's about right. If you're looking for a place that takes faith seriously without pretending to have it all figured out, I'd love to meet you on a Sunday. — The Rev. Jenifer Gamber, Rector

A Place to Breathe

Nestled in five acres of woods, Saint Peter’s is a place where children explore, families linger, and faith takes root close to the earth.

Here, you can wander the paths and breathe a little deeper.

Caring for this campus is one way we practice our Christian calling to tend God’s creation.

People gathered at a community event or fundraiser in an indoor hall, engaging in conversations, standing around tables, with posters and displays about Saint Peter's in the background.

Is Saint Peter’s for me?

  • Visiting for the first time?

We named ourselves after a disciple who denied Jesus three times — so we're comfortable with imperfect people. If you're returning to church after a long absence, or just curious, you'll find you're in good company.

Start with a Sunday morning. Park in the lot off North Glebe and let someone show you around.

    Plan your visit

  • Bringing children?

Kids are fully part of life here — not just tolerated, but genuinely welcomed. Sunday School runs September through June, nursery care is available, and children are always welcome in worship. Many families tell us it's the first place their kids actually wanted to come back to.

  • Walking through something difficult?

Whether you're grieving, searching, or just need a quiet place to breathe, our pastoral care team is here. You don't have to be a member to reach out. Grief, doubt, and hard seasons are part of life here too, not things to hide at the door.
