Bishop’s Visit - May 2024
Bishops in the Episcopal Church symbolize the unity of the church today and throughout history. Every year, a bishop from the Diocese of Virginia visits Saint Peter’s. On this day, the bishop typically confirms people who seek to make a mature profession of faith and receives people from other church backgrounds. We always throw a party on the day the bishop visits! In 2024, Bishop Ted Gullick visited us on Pentecost, the day we celebrate the Holy Spirit. That’s why the vestments are red.
