The Advent-Christmas Season
Christmas isn’t just one day at St. Peter’s. It’s an entire season of getting ready and celebrating. We begin on December 3rd with Advent to begin preparing our hearts and minds to welcome the arrival of Jesus, Savior of the world. Join us throughout the month of December to get ready with special events, music, and fellowship. Join us throughout the season.
Especially on Christmas Eve:
4:00 p.m. — Eucharist especially for families with young children
7:30 p.m. — Festive Eucharist with candlelight
10:00 p.m. — Festive Eucharist with candlelight
and Christmas Day:
10:00 a.m. — Holy Eucharist with Christmas carols

The Longest Night
The Longest Night Service
We know that the Christmas season can be hard. Amid the celebration, some of us are grieving. Some of us are estranged from our families. Others are losing loved ones to illness. Still others grieve the death of beloved friends and family members. God embraces our grief and offers us hope and healing.
On Friday, December 21, the longest night of the year, we are hosting a special service to hold a space for our grief. We will gather at 7 p.m. for a time of quiet contemplation, music, poetry, and walking the labyrinth. Mulled wine, cider, and nibbles will follow.
Featured Community Event
Join the Messiah Sing-along
Sunday, December 10th at 7:30 p.m.
In its 31st year, the popular presentation and community sing of the Christmas portion of G.F. Handel’s beloved oratorio features St. Peter’s Choirs and Friends, a chamber orchestra, and soloists led by James Selway, Director of Music at St. Peter’s.
Admission is free—donations are accepted, along with non-perishable food items. Chorus singers should bring their own Handel Messiah score, or they may borrow or purchase one at the door.
–– Telling the story
Christmas Pageant
The youngest at St. Peter’s lead the entire community in retelling the sacred story of our Saviour’s birth in the city of Bethlehem more than 2,000 years ago. Every child has a part to play and, if they choose, a costume to wear. Come see one of the central stories of our faith come to life.
Sunday, December 17th at 10:15 a.m.
Children who want to be in the pageant are invited to come at 9 a.m.
