Love Quilt Project

The Love Quilt Project (LQP) provides funds for education for South African and American children living in foster care. Every child receives a quilt created from quilt squares made by American children as an expression of care.

The Love Quilt Project (LQP) was born from a 2011 St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Mission Trip to South Africa and became a formal mission project within St. Peter’s in 2012. While separately incorporated in 2014, the Love Quilt Project still operates from the St. Peter’s campus in Arlington.

LQP supports two foster homes in South Africa funded by the St. Francis Outreach Trust (SFOT). In addition to creating and sending quilts to the children living in foster homes, LQP raises funds for the education and other needs of the children.

For more information about The Love Quilt Project please visit their site at lovequiltproject.org.

To contribute to the continued needs of the children in the foster homes, you may write a check to “The Love Quilt Project.” Checks can be dropped off at the St. Peter’s Church office or mailed to LQP at the parish office address. Please address envelopes to
