Centered
Proclaim the greatness of the Lord our God and worship him upon his holy hill; for the Lord our God is the Holy One. Psalm 99:9
Good morning! I hope this day finds you well and centered.
We live in unsettling times both at home and abroad. There is much to take us off balance – war abroad, political division closer to home, illness, loss, broken relationships, and stress.
However unsettling and distressing, none are new to our human experience or unknown to God. Through it all, we are assured that God is with us, God loves us, and God will redeem all things. Nothing is beyond God’s healing grace. Redemption may not look exactly like what we wish or happen on our timeline. But we are promised that God will transform all things for God’s purposes – the thriving of all people and creation. This is God’s intention and God’s promise.
The reality of God’s redeeming work is cause for celebration and thanksgiving, even amid the troubles of this life. The psalmist reminds us to “proclaim the greatness of the Lord our God and worship him upon his holy hill” (Psalm 99:9).
We proclaim the greatness of God each week in worship. Worshiping God grounds all that we do at St. Peter’s. Worship grounds a life of faith.
So, get centered. Come tomorrow for worship at 8 AM or 10:15 AM to hear God’s word proclaimed. Find your grounding in God.
It’s Youth Sunday! Sadie W. will preach. Molly M. will give a stewardship moment. Emilia P. will offer a prelude on the piano. The St. Cecilia Choir will sing and all the children and youth will lead us in worship.
See you tomorrow!
