Godspell, Jr. - April 2024
For more than 30 years now, the youth at Saint Peter’s have put on a musical. This past Spring, the youth wowed us with Godspell, Jr. Based on The Gospel According to Matthew, the musical uses major episodes in the Bible – including the baptism of Jesus, the Last Supper, his arrest and crucifixion – to explore important ideas like compassion, love, forgiveness and sacrifice for the greater good. Kids rehearse 12-16 hours a week for 8 weeks. Parents help with costumes, make up, publicity, setting up the stage and snacks. It was an amazing production and the kids built lasting friendships.
